    Fred Braswell

     Hampton Middle School Head Coach (7th Grade Head Coach 2019) 



    Coach Fred Braswell is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State University in Technology Education, and later his Master’s from Troy University in Instructional Technology. Teacher of the year Hampton Middle School 2012. He enters his thirty second year of teaching and Thirtieth season of coaching middle and high school football. Coach Braswell also played college baseball at Norfolk State University. Coach Braswell’s most recent Coaching positions were at Hampton Middle in Henry County (2009-present) and Head Coach at Flynt Middle School in Griffin-Spalding (2006-07). Coach Braswell also taught and coached (17 yrs.) in DeKalb County. While at Cedar Grove Middle School (1999-2003) with an overall 23-9 record and won the first ever-outright DeKalb County Football Championship in 2003 with an 8-0 record. Coach Braswell was also named DeKalb County’s Middle School Coach of the year 2003-2004. Coach Braswell has a wife Sandy who is an educator at Hampton Middle School, Son Omar and Daughter Aliyah the Braswell family resides in McDonough, Georgia.
