Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Lorri Smith and this is my 20th year in education. I am very excited to be a part of the Eagle's Landing team this year!
♦Prior to coming to Eagle's Landing, I taught for 17 years in Rockdale County grades 4-8, covering reading, language arts, social studies, and special education.
♦I was born in Washington state, and have lived in California, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho before moving to Georgia in 1999. I am an only child.
♦I have 2 daughters ages 29 and 24, as well as 3 grandbabies ages 8, 7, and 4 who live in Newton County. I also have step-children who are in college.
♦I received two Bachelor's degrees from Eastern Washington University, and my Master's and Education Specialist degrees from Grand Canyon University.
♦My husband is also a teacher and coach in Jasper County. He coaches football, basketball, and track so we are a very sports-minded family! I LOVE FOOTBALL and am a die-hard Seattle Seahawks fan since 1977.
♦In my "spare" time I enjoy spending time with the grandchildren and traveling. I would love to travel to Italy some day, as my dad's side of the family is from there.
I look forward to a successful year with your child and I can't wait to see how their talents soar!
