• Hello,
I am Augustine, I am glad to be the part of Henry County High Schools,
Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself. Gratefully, this is my 6th year at the  Henry County school system and 22nd years in the service of imparting knowledge to young minds!
A little background of mine. Academically I hold double masters+, (MSc, MPhil, EdS), specialized in Chemistry (Organic & medicinal), a Specialized research degree in the field of polymer chemistry, and an Educational Specialist in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University. I am certified in the fields of Chemistry, Broad field science, and currently teach Physical Science. I truly believe I can transfer my knowledge to my students to mold them to understand the world they live in from a Scientific perspective. I appreciate the eminent works done by scientists enabling us to understand the universe deeper.
As a part of the Henry County Schools family, I am here to offer the best in me and am looking forward to a productive year ahead. Please feel free to contact me with any academic assistance, concern, or help that you may have. I am available for tutoring before & after school by appointment.
Wishing you a very successful school year,
    Mrs. Augustine,
    Science Instructor Room - 243.
11 Things You Should Learn Before You Graduate High School.

Thing 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!

Thing 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Thing 3: You will NOT make $100,000.00 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a Blackberry until you earn both.

Thing 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Thing 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Thing 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents'  OR TEACHERS’ fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Thing 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you think you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Thing 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life or in MY CLASS.

Thing 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off (unless you are a TEACHER) and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Thing 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Thing 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one; better be one!

    Thank you.
