Mrs. Chef Leigh Jackson, MSEd

Chef Jackson is a native of Macon, Georgia and has always had a passion for creativity and teaching. She currently holds an AA in Culinary Art from the International Culinary School - Art Institute of Atlanta, a BSEd  in Workforce Education and Development from Valdosta State University as well as a MSEd in Adult and  Technical Education also from VSU. She currently consults as a Test Writer for Educatuonal Testing Service creating test questions for Teacher Licensure in the area of Family and Consumer Science.
After working as a Chef for over 20 years, she moved into the Technical College Classroom at Southern Crescent Technical College in Griffin, Georgia as well as teaching Culinary Art at Griffin High School from 2010-2014. Additionally, Chef Jackson is the Adviser for FCCLA (Family, Community and Career Leaders of America), a Career Technical Student Organization that promotes Leadership and has "family" at its core.   In FCCLA, students have the opportunity to offer service to their school and community, compete at regional, state and national meetings and develop personal leadership skills. Chef also currently serves on the National Educator Advisory Board for Lead4Change- the country's fastest growing student leadship program. Lead4Change curriculum is taught in this FACS classroom.
Chef Jackson is married to Ray and has two daughters at home- Madison and Isabella, a married daughter, 
four grandchildren and a feline family of four. As of May 2021, add in a beautiful Huskador named Guinevere!
