I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in McDonough, Georgia. My family is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but relocated to Georgia in 1973 to pursue a business in horticulture. I began working in my family's nursery when I was eight years old, and continued to do so until graduating high school. From there, I worked in the medical field until graduating from Mercer University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I began my teaching career in 2013 in the Georgia lottery funded pre-k program, and then joined the RSE team in January of 2014.
I teach all subject areas for 4th grade.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my daughter Aivree.
My philosophy in education is: "The role of the educator is to provide each student with learning experiences that are authentic, challenging, and personalized to nurture academic growth and strengthen perseverance."
I am honored to work with your children as their teacher and look forward to a successful school year!
