I am Pamela White. My dad was in the Air Force, so I grew up all over the country, from being born in Brooklyn, New York, to living on Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska before returning to south Georgia, where my dad retired. I have had the opportunity to live a very diverse and interesting life, which helps me to be the person that I am with my students. I am the oldest of five and all 3 of my sisters are teachers as well.
I graduated from Cook High School in Adel, Georgia. I have attended Valdosta State University, Troy University, and Walden University, where I am currently a doctoral candidate. This is my 20th year teaching and I have taught English 9-12, AP Language and Literature and I am Gifted Certified. I enjoy teaching American Literature and British Literature and my favorite author is Maya Angelou. She is actually the reason that I chose to teach English and I am so glad that I followed my dream!
I am married to Thetheus White, who just happens to be our Director of Bands and I assist him with marching band, where I am the Guard Instructor. Of all of the jobs that I have, the one that I consider most important is being the mother of two AWESOME young people: Thetheus II, who is a biomedical engineering student at Wake Forest University, and Alexandria, who is a freshman at Valdosta State. I am excited to have been named the Lady Hornet soccer coach and to be part of a staff that is second to none! I know that we are going to "break the mold" on education and I look forward to doing it with great students and parents here at HHS. It's great to be a Hampton Hornet and I look forward to a great year!!!
