Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Dominique Cooper

I am Dominique Cooper and I am excited to start my seventh year at Hickory Flat Elementary teaching second grade. I grew up and attended Henry County Schools as a child and I am thrilled to teach in one of the best counties.

I received a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia. I also received a master's degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia.

I have a husband named Quintin, an almost 4-year-old daughter named Elliet, and a 10-month old named Silas. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and photography. My favorite food is pizza and I love root beer.

I have had a passion for education from a very young age. I am often told I am an old soul. I am excited to help children succeed and learn life lessons. This year will be a growing year for our second graders. They will learn how to be responsible and good citizenship. They will also learn what it means to be trustworthy, respectful, caring, and fair while being held accountable for their choices and actions. I do believe it takes a village to raise children, and I am excited to work with you all to help ensure the success of each child.
