All about me
My name is Rebecca Majors and I am a 5th-grade teacher at Cotton Indian Elementary. This is my fourth year teaching at Cotton Indian. I am excited to be teaching English/Language Arts and Social Studies this year.
I taught first grade for seven years in Clayton County then moved to Henry County schools a few years ago. I taught 1st and 5th at Locust Grove Elementary for 3 years. I am a product of Henry County schools. I went to Cotton Indian the first year it opened as a Kindergartener and continued at Cotton Indian until I went to middle school. I graduated in 2003 from Stockbridge High School. After High School, I attended Georgia State University.
Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State
Master's in Reading and Literacy from Walden University.
A little about me
I have been married for 12 years to my college sweetheart, Josh.
I have two marvelous boys Nathan (11) and Easton (8). Nathan will be in 5th grade at Unity Grove Elementary. Easton will be in the 3rd grade at Unity. Both boys have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
I have lived in Butts County for 11 years.
I have two dogs (Winnie Roo and Dottie Sue), one cat (Penny), and one guinea pig (Oreo)
I love to read, cook, travel, and am always searching to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
I have been to many different places (The Bahamas, Turks, and Caicos, Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Alaska, Washington State, Washington, DC. My bucket list trip is to go to Bora, Bora. My favorite place to visit is the Roatan Islands, Honduras.
I have two nieces who I adore, Parker Marie and Teagan Rae.
