Welcome to our community guests serving at our Mock Interview Fair this week. Over 200 seniors enrolled in CTAE classes will participate TODAY (Tues) and TOMORROW (Wed) we thank our community interviewers for making this experience possible.
Any students interested in wrestling please stop by room 209 to pick up paperwork/schedule. See Coach Norwood for questions. The hydration test will be Oct 21st report to Stockbridge High School BY 1050am and bring $10.00.

The scarecrow contest winners will be announced at the McDonough Fall Festival this upcoming Saturday, October 21. Voting continues through Thursday, October 19 at the Welcome Center, Moye’s and Secret Garden. PLEASE STOP BY AND VOTE FOR OUR AWESOME WOLF!!!
All swimmers with clear, current physicals should be at Ms. Parker’s room, dressed for practice TODAY, Tuesday, October 17 by 3:45 PM. We will leave for practice by 4:00.
Attention Math Team Members: The first Georgia Math League contest and SAT challenge will be held in room 117 after school TODAY, Tuesday, October 17th from 3:20-4:20. If you have not submitted your math team dues, it is not too late to join (just bring $20 with you on Tuesday).
On Friday, October 20th in honor of Harry Potter Trivia Night Students and Teachers will be able to dress up as their favorite Harry Potter Character for $1.00. You may pay in the front office and the media center to get your sticker to be able to dress up that day. Get in the Harry Potter spirit and dress up. All proceeds will go to the Ferst Foundation.
Attention Juniors and Seniors:
The College Tour bus will be departing on Friday, November 10 for tours of Spelman College and Morehouse College in Atlanta. The $22 donation for the tour will include an on campus lunch. Space is limited, so get a permission form from your English teacher and return the completed form with your donation to Ms. Parker in room 318. The deadline is October 27th , so hurry!
The FCCLA FBLA Feed the Homeless community service has been rescheduled to November 4th. Please continue bringing in donations; they are much needed.

The WHS Two-Spirits Club is a club for any high school student Gay or Straight. The mission will be to provide a safe place for students to meet, support each other, and talk about issues not only within the LGBTQ community but also other concerns or issues. Seniors! Are you ready to JAM! That’s right you heard me. Your first senior jam will take place on Thursday, October 26th from 4-6pm. Come hang out, eat, play games, and JAM with your fellow seniors as we kick off senior night and senior week. You don’t want to miss out!!

Harry Potter Trivia Night at Woodland High School is just around the corner. It will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00ish PM. Presale tickets are on sale starting today and are $3.00, the tickets will be $5.00 at the door.
Attention Juniors and Seniors, there will be a powder puff game on Friday, October 20th. Any student interested in participating in the senior vs. junior powder puff game please stop by to see Mrs. Waldon (327) or Mrs. Kendrick (326). The cost for participation ranges from $20 - $25 and is due Friday, October 6. Participation will be first come, first serve with payment.
Any male student that is interested in trying out for this year's 9th, JV, or Varsity basketball team, tryouts will start Monday, October 30th thru Wednesday, November 1st. 9th grade tryout is from 3:30 - 5:00, and JV and Varsity tryout is from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm.
All paperwork must be turned in before you can tryout, NO EXCEPTION!!! Forms can be found on the school athletic website or off the rack in the front office. If you are involved in a fall sport, then you will tryout once your season is done.

Students, we need your help in a school wide service project – for the next 6 weeks, we will be collecting used shoes for “the soul project”. Your donation of a pair of shoes can help prevent injury, infections, disease and death to someone who does not have shoes at all. Please drop shoes off to the box in the front office. All sizes are accepted.
