Hi! I am Jayme Campbell, the first grade teacher in Room 208! I began teaching in 2001. I spent the first 14 years in first grade, taught thrid grade for four years, and now I am back in first grade! I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University. I began teaching first grade and after a few years, I received my Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. I love to read and enjoy passing on the love of reading to my students!
I have a daughter, Abbey. She is beginning high school this year at Hampton High. I love spending time with my family, going to the lake, and traveling anywhere I can. Some of my favorite things are: the beach, a good book, coffee, shopping, Mexican food, pedicures, the outdoors, Pinterest, and lazy days!
I have been involved with Henry County Relay for Life for my entire teaching career, and I am on the Relay for Life Team at RCE. This organization works hard to support cancer patients, educate people for cancer prevention, and researches for a CURE! I lost my mother, my aunt, and my grandmother to cancer, so I am very passionate about this cause. Look for many opportunities to support Relay for Life this year.
My students are very important to me. I will treat your child as if they are my own. I believe in providing a positive environment, building relationships, and encourage each of them to be the best that they can be. We will learn what respect means and how to show respect as we grow and learn together for the next several months. Please contact me if you have any question or concerns. The best way to contact me is through email: email@example.com or phone: 770.707.1469. I look forward to working with you and your child this year!
