Reservations for School Organizations
2018-19 School YearIt is recommended that event coordinators review the Performing Arts Center scheduling policy and procedures by clicking here for important information before submitting reservation requests.Scheduling Priority Classifications (approved by the Henry County Board of Education)
School organizations will receive priority scheduling for reservation requests submitted through May 15, 2018. Reservation requests submitted after May 15, 2018, will be booked on a first-come, space-available basis.(1) Central Office & System-wide EventsExamples include Teacher/Employee of the Year, Teacher Induction Program, Writing and Recitation Contests, Spelling Bee, Transportation Safety Programs, Board of Education meetings.(2) High School & Middle School Theatre ProductionsExamples include full-length dramas, comedies and musicals, and one-act plays prepared for region competition. Student-directed one-act plays and class plays are not to be submitted under this category.(3) High School & Middle School Performance EnsemblesExamples include band, chorus, orchestra concerts and other performing arts groups, where a performance is the primary purpose of the reservation.(4) Elementary School Performance EnsemblesExamples include chorus, drama, or grade level music performances, where a performance is the primary purpose of the reservation.(5) All other school eventsExamples include awards programs, honors assemblies, pageants, kindergarten or grade level end-of-year celebrations, counseling meetings and other non-performance programs.Reservation requests received after the priority scheduling period designed for each event classification will be booked on a space-available basis.Receipt of reservation requests will be acknowledged by return email within three business days.
