1st Grade - Campbell, Jayme

There are 220 sight words that first graders are expected to know by the end of first grade. Your child will become a more proficient reader the sooner these words are mastered. You should work at your child’s own pace. Some children learn them quickly and some need more time. Have fun – make flash cards, play games, find them in books at home.
I will be checking off the words periodically (every other week or so). Please make sure that the Sight Word Folder comes to school each day so that I may check your child as needed. My goal is for each child to know all 220 by January.
I have included below a power point presentation that contains the 220 words.
