Staff BiosStockbridge High School Head Football CoachThomas A. ClarkThomas A. Clark- Head Coach (1st Year)Coach Thomas A. Clark is beginning his 1st year as Head Football Coach of Stockbridge High School. Coach Clark was born and raised in Philadelphia, Mississippi and a graduate of Noxapater High School. During his time in high school he was a three sport athlete in football, basketball and track and field. After high school Coach Clark attended East Central Community College in Decatur, Mississippi on a football scholarship. He was a offensive an offensive lineman on the ECCC Warriors Football Team. After two years at ECCC, Clark moved on to a four year university and accepted a football scholarship at West Virginia Institute of Technology in Montgomery, West Virginia. During this time he was blessed to play for lengendary Coach Mike Springston. Clark was a standout offensive lineman playing Left Guard fort the WVU Tech Golden Bears. During his years at WVU Tech, Clark was part of a team that quickly turned around a loosing program within a matter of two years. After Clark finished his playing careeer he stayed on as an Offensive Line Coach at WVU Tech. During this season the WVU Tech Golden Bears fell short by finishing sencond in the WVIAC Conference. The Golden Bears were known for there spread passing attack no-huddle quick tempo offense that averaged more than 40 points per game and well over 400 yards of offense per game. Coach Clark left coaching for a few years but later returned again in 2006 to WVU Tech as Offensive Line Coach and also the Strength and Condtioning Coach. Coach Clark decided to make a move to the high school ranks in 2008 when he accepted a coaching and teaching postion at Stockbridge High School. Coach Clark has remained at Stockbridge High School for the duration since 2008. During this time Coach Clark worked along side Head Coach Kevin Whitley in building the SHS Football Progam into one of the most dominant football programs in Georgia High School Football. During his time at SHS Coach Clark has held many responsibilities within the football program. Some of his coaching duties included coaching both the defensive and offensive line and serving as the strength and conditioning coach. He also assisted Coach Whitley in running the academic program and college recruiting for the members of the football team. He served as Assistant Athletic Director for 5 years and most recently Athletic Director for the past 2 years. Here are some of the accomplishments of the SHS Football Program that Coach Clark has been a part of.3 GHSA State Semi-Final Appearances4 GHSA State Quarter-Final Appearances5 Region 4 5A Champioships2 Sub-Region Championships105 Wins in the Decade (2010-2020) 2nd in 5A behind BufordAverage Class of 11 Football Players signing Scholarships Yearly.Traven Hardnett- Slotbacks (5th Year)Coach Hardnett enters his 5th year with the Tigers on the Offensive side of the ball. He believes in "Working Harder" to get better. Coach Hardnett began his career teaching, coaching, and mentoring young athletes after graduating from Ga Southern University in 1993. He and his wife, Keely, have been married 19 years and share two wonderful sons, Travon and Keelan.Jerase Perkins-Receivers (7th)Coach Perkins of Atlanta, Georgia is a graduate of Creekside High School. After graduation, he attended Morris Brown College where he earned a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation and developed the urge to give back to his community. Coach Perkins brings a wealth of experience on the middle school and recreational level. He believes that success is not given but earned.

Kevin Barnes-Corners (1st Year)Coach Barnes graduated from Redan High School as a two year letterman on the football team. He obtained his Bachelors Degree from Georgia State Unversity. He is married to Latosha and has four kids- Amiya, Keniah, Tyler, and Zachary. He has been coaching for ten years with the last six at Newton High School. He played college football at West Georgia before joining the US Airforce in 2001.He spent a few years playing Arena football in Rome, Georgia before settling down in the coaching profession. He is very excited about joining the Tiger FamilyEllis Brown-OL/Strength Coordinator (1st Year)Coach Brown is a graduate at Alcovy Highschool where he was a three year letterman on the football team. He received his degree from the University of West Georgia in Special Education. He returned to Alcovy as a teacher where he also coached football and wrestling. He left Alcovy to become the offensive line and strength coach at Heritage highschool.
