    Tennis Information

    Welcome to the 2021 Tennis Season!
    Tryouts will begin Tuesday, January 11th. Physical must be current  before you will be allowed to try out

    Scheduling Information

    All physicals and county forms need to be current through the end of the season before you being practice


    Financial Information

    IMPORTANT- if you have any outstanding debt to the tennis team, you cannot play in a match until your account is current. Payment plan due dates will be enforced!

    The required cost for tennis 2019 is as follows: a detailed fee assessment will be sent home
    Payment can be made via cash or money order (No checks or debit/credit)

    Uniform- Girls- $60 (if you do not need a skirt) $90 (if you need to order a skirt)

     Boys- $60 (if you do not need shorts) $80 (if you need to order shorts)
    Ball Fee- $75 

     Athletic Fee- $40 (unless you played a fall sport)


    Required Total= 

    Fees will be broken down into payments with due dates throughout the season. 
    The first payment will cover uniforms, please be prepared to submit with order form

    Optional- T-shirts/hoodies, joggers, leggings will be available for purchase

    Transportation- players are responsible for providing their own transportation to away, in county matches

    The following forms are required for participation in athletics at Luella High School... They can be accessed by following this link to the LHS athletics page-
    Challenge Matches
    Players may challenge up to two positions above their current line
    Between challenge match days, adjustments to the line up may be made at the coaches’ discretion, based on extenuating circumstances not player ability.
    For the challenge to be recognized, the coaches must be notified 48 hours (2 days) prior to the match occurs. Notification can be made in writing in person or via email. At least one coach must be present for the entirety of the match. Matches will begin promptly at 3:45.
    If the person challenged does not report to the courts at the specified time and date, they forfeit their line and drop to the line occupied by the challenger
    The player challenging the higher seeded player can only challenge that higher seeded player one time per calendar week
    Challenge match will be played as an 8 Game Pro Set with ad. If necessary, a tiebreaker will be played as per USTA rules
    Challenger will provide a can of new, unopened tennis balls for the challenge match
    Mission Statement 

    The mission of the Luella High School Tennis Program is to provide an opportunity for students to learn a lifelong sport,  practice good sportsmanship, and excel as both student and athlete, and work as a member of a team.
