Our thoughts: It is amazing that our thoughts can be such a powerful force. Our thoughts are responsible for what goes on in our minds, but we have to put negativity to the side and focus on our dreams and ambitions. Many use their environment to give excuses as to why they fail, while individuals seeking greatness reshape their environment or change environments entirely to meet their needs.  In my adventure to become a teacher, I took several different routes. I started my career as an administrative assistant, then a judge’s assistant, court clerk, senior court clerk and by far the best a teacher. I have always been in a position where I was assisting people.  I made the transition in 2011 to TEACH children.

Let me introduce myself, I am a 2003 graduate of DeVry University with a degree in Computer Information Systems. I am also a 2010 graduate of Mercer University with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education and in 2015 I received my Gifted Certification Endorsement. Additionally, I received my Masters Degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University in 2017. This past school year, I received my math endorsement for grades K-5. I am also a wife and mother of three girls (Crystal, Camille and Chloe). I have been teaching at Oakland Elementary since 2011.

I am thrilled to have your child in my classroom this year! I have the belief that by working together we will make this a very productive and successful year. It is very important that you play an active role in your child’s education. I invite you to call, email or schedule a conference with me anytime you have questions regarding your child’s progress in school. I will do my part of keeping you informed by sending home weekly graded assignments of your child’s work.

I'm anxious to be working with your child. I welcome any comments or questions that you may have and I am looking forward to a great year where
