    Classroom Expectations:

I truly believe that if children are engaged in meaningful class work and activities, behavioral disruptions will be kept at a minimum.  I strive to plan meaningful lessons that will teach the learning objectives, but will also allow children to enjoy what they are learning, have fun, and become involved in the learning process.

Our management plan in fourth grade is the Responsibility Book.  This plan allows the students to have ownership in their behavior and consequences.  I also use an incentive program in which the students have the opportunity to earn "points" for their teams.  Points are earned by working cooperatively and following school and classroom rules.  Teams that earn the most points are rewarded with a special lunch in the classroom!
