Let me tell you a bit about myself. I have 2 children. Alex is at Kennesaw State University and Matt is a junior at Palm Beach Atlantic Christian University in Florida. I have a beagle/dotson mutt named Baxter, a Pomerian named Belle, and a chiweenie named Peanut. I live right here in beautiful Hampton.
I returned to college when Matt began school. I graduated from Macon State College, with my degree in Early Childhood Education. My certification is in Special Education General Curriculum. I recieved my Masters degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. I recieved my certificate to teach Gifted Education in 2014, and in 2020 received my endorsement for math. I have taught 4th and 5th grades, as well as TAG for 5 years.
In my classroom, I try to promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect. I work hard to build a sense of community among all students, and I emphasize the importance of teamwork. I believe in a strong classroom community, as well as a strong relationship with families. I am deeply humbled by the opportunity to teach your child. This is not a responsibility that I take lightly.
You are always welcome to volunteer in our classroom. I believe that great things can happen when we work TOGETHER! Hampton Elementary is a place where I really feel a part of a strong community and a winning team.
