My name is Dr. Lydia Williams. I am an excited to join the Woodland High School Family. I look forward to working with students with the last names P-Z.  I am currently in my 20th year as an educator, working on both the middle and high school levels. In my career, I have been blessed to have taught and worked with some amazing students.  I began my career at Adamson Middle School (Clayton County Schools) in Rex, Georgia.   In 2006, I transferred to Henry County Schools where I taught 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies at Henry County Middle School.    In 2009, I became one of the inaugural faculty members of Locust Grove High School.  During my four years at LGHS, I taught World Geography, World History, African American Studies, and AP Human Geography.  In addition, I served as the Social Studies Department Chair and was a member of the Building Leadership Team.

In March 2013, I answered the call to become the Graduation Coach at Eagle’s Landing High School.  In 2016, I was appointed Assistant Principal at Eagle’s Landing High School. During my administrative career, I have served as 504 Administrator, PBIS Administrator, and FTE Administrator and Testing Coordinator.

I am a graduate of the University of Georgia, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education. I have a Master’s Degree and Ph.D.in Educational Leadership from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. I have one son, Cameron.  Cameron is a 2020 graduate of Henry County Schools and is currently a sophomore at Kennesaw State University. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading and being active with my sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I am a firm believer that in order to grow, you have to have a dedication and commitment to continue learning.
