Mr. Felipe Mrad

Please allow me a moment to introduce myself to you. My name is Felipe Mrad, and I'm originally from Brazil. I have been living in the USA since I was 8 years old. I moved to Georgia in late 2020 to join the Stockbridge family. Before coming to Georgia, I lived and studied in sunny south Florida. There I got my Associate's at Broward College and my Bachelor's at Nova Southeastern University. My major is in Biology and my minor is in Marine Biology.

The love of biology was instilled into me at a very young age. By that I mean, my aunt used to bribe me with cake so that I would listen to her ramble on about biology. This love grew even more when I was the same age as my students and my teacher encouraged me to explore the limitless possibilities of biology. This love of biology is what I want to share with my students. I want to encourage them to discover new things in science for themselves.

Aside from biology I'm also very pationate about soccer. I have been watching soccer my entire life and it was one of my favorite activities to share with my father. So as soon as I joined the Stockbridge family I joined the coaching staff for the soccer team. My hope is to help create an environment where the soccer teams are able to grow and our students can get rewarded for the hard work they put in on and off the field. Luckily, the popularity of soccer is growing in the US and more importantly, the amount of money being invested into scholarships for younger players are growing.
