• My name is Tonya Brantley and I am lucky enough to be the physical education teacher at TRE. This is my 26th  year teaching PE. My husband Bert and I have two daughters, Kendall and Carson. Carson is a SENIOR at Union Grove High School and Kendall is in her second year at The University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!).

I am a rare Henry County native. I started first grade at Stockbridge Elementary and I graduated from Stockbridge High School in 1991. I graduated from The University of Georgia in 1996 with a degree in Health and Physical Education. I also have a Master's degree in Post Secondary Education. I taught high school health and PE and coached girls basketball and softball at Winder Barrow High School for four years. My next four years were spent at Lanier Middle School in Gwinnett County. Shortly after the birth of our first daughter, my husband and I decided to move back to Henry County to be close to family. I taught at Wesley Lakes Elementary and Stockbridge Elementary before coming to Timber Ridge when it opened in 2006.

I love teaching PE! It is all I ever remember wanting to do. Each day I am reminded how blessed I am to love my job so much. In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy doing things at my church (Salem Baptist).  Of course, I enjoy all kinds of sports. I love UGA football and playing tennis, softball and basketball. I play a mean game of HORSE!

If you are new to TRE, I look forward to meeting you. For our returning Titans, welcome back! Please feel free to email or call me if you have any questions or concerns about PE!
