    ALL ABOUT ME!!

I am excited to work with your scholars this year!!!  I believe that we all can be successful with a little effort and hard work. It is my goal to help ensure that all my scholars have the best learning experience possible with as few bumps in the road as possible.  I have been teaching since 2008.  I love teaching and helping students find what it is that makes them better students and better people.  I worked for SunTrust Bank for six years before I decided to become a teacher.  Working in that line of work has taught me that there is no room for excuses when it comes to producing results.  I understand that things happen that we don't have control of, but it is my goal to help my students learn how to push pass the bumps and proceed to the road that leads to success.  I received my Bachelor's degree at Clayton State University where I learned many skills that have helped me keep pressing towards educating my students to the best of my ability.  I earned a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Reading and Literacy from Grand Canyon University.  Completing the steps that lead to earning my Educational Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership that was earned at Walden University has helped me to realize that each day provides an opportuinty for me to improve myself and share information or insight that may help someone else along the way.  I am grateful to be able to serve my community in this capacity.

I spend a lot of time reading and trying to find ways to help me improve upon my practices as a teacher.  One of my goals is to help your children understand that we should take control over the things we can and try to move forward in the most efficient way possible when presented with things we can't.

As the mother of two girls and two boys, I understand the importance of being able to do the things I am required to do while finding time to do the things I want to do.  It is important that students at the middle school level start learning this concept so that success can be experienced both in the classroom and on the fields and courts of the various atheletic departments.

I look forward to working with each of you and your scholars this year!!!!!
