Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Denson

Hey, Grizzlies!! Welcome to our EIP page! I'm so excited to be a part of your journey this year! This is my eighth year teaching at Tussahaw Elementary School and my third year teaching EIP reading and math for K-2. I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and General Special Education from Gordon State College and a master's degree in Elementary Education from Valdosta State University. I hold a reading endorsement and am currently in the process of obtaining my ESOL endorsement as well to enhance my classroom instruction. My husband is an educator in Henry County too. We had our daughter at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, so that was a wild ride!! She is the light of our lives and made quarantine life so much more enjoyable! :) I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember and everyday I come to work is a dream come true! I thoroughly enjoy working with my students and having the opportunity to see them grow and flourish throughout our time together. It is my mission to make reading and math as fun as possible for the students I serve but also for myself. I am so excited for another great year! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Email will be the best way to contact me.
