American Government is a semester course taken during a student’s senior year. Successful completion of the class is a REQUIREMENT for graduation in the State of Georgia and Henry County. This Government course provides students with a background in the philosophy, functions, and structure of the United States government. It also provides students with the opportunity to examine the philosophical foundations of the United States government and how that philosophy developed. Students will also examine the structure and function of the United States government and its relationship to states and citizens.
