             What is "Close Reading"?
             Close reading occurs when students read texts carefully as a means to deepen comprehension. Close reading involves reading a text, or excerpt from a text, multiple times while performing tasks such as reflecting on the meaning, paying careful attention to the text structure, or making connections.
