Mrs. Nichol Bowers

My name is Nichol Bowers, and I am thrilled to be working with your child this year! This is my 13th year teaching and my second year at Hampton Elementary School.

I graduated from Mercer University in 2009 with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I returned to Mercer to earn my Master’s Degree in Reading Instruction in 2016. I Earned my Specialist’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Delta State University.

My husband, Chris, and I are the proud parents of four beautiful children: Jasmine (24), Taylor (23), CJ (21), and Brady (13). In our free time, we like walking on nature trails, watching movies, and sitting around a campfire.

Educational Philosophy:

I believe that all children are unique and have something special to bring to their own education. I will assist my students in expressing themselves and accepting themselves for who they are, and celebrating the differences of others.

Every classroom has its own unique community; my role as the teacher will be to assist each child in developing their own potential and learning styles. I will present a curriculum that will incorporate each different learning style and make the content relevant to the students' lives. I will incorporate hands-on learning, cooperative learning, projects, themes, and individual work that engage and activate students learning.

The cornerstone of my educational philosophy is the importance of the connection between home and school. I am energized and excited about working with families to ensure students’ lives are enriched academically, socially, and emotionally at home and school. Together, we’ve got this!
