Mrs. Premlata Miller
My name is Premlata Miller and I am the full-time counselor at New Hope for the 2020-2021 school year. I am happy to have served New Hope Elementary since the 2013-2014 school year. However, I have been a professional school counselor since 2003. I spent my first eight years in Gwinnett County and the remainder here in Henry County. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the students and families we serve. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). I returned back to Atlanta and received my Masters in School Counseling from Georgia State University. My specialist was obtained from Argosy University in Sarasota with a concentration in Counseling Psychology.
I have been married to my devoted husband for the past 10 years. We are proud parents of twin girls, who bring such joy and enthusiasm to our world. We enjoy traveling as a family and with our extended family as often as we can. When I am not wearing my counselor hat, I enjoy reading, online shopping and spending time with friends. As the full-time counselor, I have the pleasure of working with all students, however, I will primarily serve grades 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th this school year. My goal is to support my grade levels by offering core curriculum lessons that address their social emotional, academic and career needs. In addition to core curriculum lessons, Mrs. Hinton and I will serve students through small group counseling and provide individual counseling support as needed. I am super excited to embark on this journey of virtual learning as we kickoff this new school year. It is my hope that we will get to see each other face-to-face soon. Until then, see you online!
