Welcome to Our Superheroes Class

Dear Parents,

     My name is Laila Khan. I am excited to share that I have recently completed my Masters in Education program through Thomas University! I hold an Early Childhood Special Education/General Curriculum Certification and am also certified to teach in Montessori schools. I've worked at ABC Montessori School, located in McDonough, Georgia, Counterpane Montessori School, located in Fayetteville, Walnut Creek Elementary School in McDonough, and Pleasant Grove Elementary School, located in Stockbridge. I am thrilled to be back at Walnut Creek Elementary School.  

           Collectively, I have thirteen years of experience in the teaching field. Teaching is my passion, and I thoroughly enjoy working with children. During my tenure at Walnut Creek Elementary School (WCE), I am proud to say that I have accomplished many goals and successfully fulfilled school expectations. When I was at WCE, I served as a Kindergarten-Grade Chair and was the "Teacher of the Year" for the school year 2016 – 2017.   

      At Pleasant Grove Elementary, I served as the first-grade grade chair and was part of the Math focus team. I effectively satisfied all the school's expectations. I am excited and honored to be back at Walnut Creek Elementary School. It is my goal as an educator to make a positive contribution. I genuinely believe that each child is capable of learning when provided with the right tools and environment.    

   I am enthusiastic about serving your child's educational needs. I will make your child's learning experience in first-grade fun and engaging while in the classroom. I am confident that each child will be successful and become a lifelong learner. I have many learning activities planned that will help your child get accustomed to the new classroom setting.
