• It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.

    -Audre Lorde

My name is Loren Falls, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Dutctown Middle School family!!! While this is my first year at DMS, this is the beginning of my 10th year teaching Spanish. The only thing I love more than teaching languages and traveling, is my family. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have 5 brilliant children. Originally, I am from New Orleans, Louisiana. Go Saints!!!! After finishing my Bachelor's Degree at the University of New Orleans, I moved to metro Atlanta. Since moving to Atlanta, I have seen the Spanish speaking population increase significantly, giving students a plethora of opportunities for practicing language beyond the classroom Being able to communicate in any foreign language is an increasingly sought after skill in every workplace. In addition to highlighting obvious monetary advantages, I want my Spanish class to facilitate the beginning a life rich with exploration. As of 2020, my travel resume includes Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Bahamas, France, and Greece. Once this pandemic is over, I have my sights on Africa and Asia. I look forward to working with every single child and parent. If you need me for anything at all, please do not hesitate to ask (unless you’re a Falcon's fan). It's going to be an awesome year!
