She has been performing in choirs since the age of nine and as an alumna of the Woodland High School Choir program herself, is elated with the opportunity to develop and further the choir program that holds such a special place in her heart.Ms. Manson received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a choral concentration from Kennesaw State University, studying voice with Mr. Todd Wedge, an Oberlin Conservatory and Northwestern University graduate and alumnus of the Grammy winning all-male vocal group "Chanticleer" . During her time at KSU, she had the pleasure of working as a student assistant for the Kennesaw State Chorale for two years, with responsibilities including organizing and hosting the 2017 KSU Male Choral Day and the 2018 KSU Choral Invitational. She also worked closely with Dr. Alison Mann, director of music education, as her advisor, teacher, and mentor. Ms. Manson performed in various choirs at Kennesaw State, including the Kennesaw State Chamber Singers and Women's Choir, and performed with the Kennesaw State Opera Theater Program, performing in productions such as "Speed Dating Tonight!", scenes from Handel's Semele, Mozart's Die Zauberflote or "The Magic Flute", and more. She served on executive board for her collegiate chapters of the American Choral Directors' Association (ACDA), National Association for Teachers of Singing (NATS), the Eta Delta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, and served as song-chair for the Zeta Omega chapter of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority under the National Panhellenic Council.As a performer, Ms. Manson has had the pleasure of performing at the 2018 Georgia Music Educators' Association In-Service Conference in Athens, GA with the KSU Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. Leslie J. Blackwell, and performed at both Regional and National ACDA conferences with the Spivey Hall Tour Choir under the direction of Dr. Martha Shaw of Reinhardt University, performing in venues such as the Mormon Tabernale in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is also a two-time state finalist for the NATS Singing Competition for her age groupMs. Manson is thrilled to be a part of the Woodland Wolfpack family, and looking forward to the upcoming school year and the exciting moments to come!
