I was born in Georgia and have lived in various suburbs of Atlanta most of my life. I graduated from Mercer University (Go Bears!) with a degree in English in 1991 and spent my first year teaching at Southwest High School in Macon, Georgia. I joined the English department at ELHS in 2015 after spending ten years teaching English at Luella High School.
I have been married to my wonderful husband Troy for twenty-seven years. You might see us both at athletic events througout the year. We are avid college football and basketball fans and on Saturdays during the Fall, you will find us watching college football, especially the Kentucky Wildcats. We also love spending time with our two daughters, Blythe and Brooke and Brooke's husband David. Everyone in the household loves animals so we have two cats, 1 bunny, and two fish living with us. I LOVE reading and quite often fall asleep while enjoying my current novel.
