Dear Parents,

The following is a math outline of assignments your child should complete from “HMH: Into Math” during our remote learning days.  These assignments are a review to help maintain previously taught math concepts and skills.   Your child should be able to independently complete these assignments.

HMH assignments:

Daily math routine: “Nifty Numbers”

Please ask your child the following questions about the number of the day:

Number of the day:

 What is today’s date?  What will tomorrow’s date be?

What number comes before and after (use the chart below for numbers less than 100): 

How many tens and ones are in the chart above for today? 

Day + 1 = __________ (Use chart above for numbers less than 100).  

Count forwards and backwards from various ranges within 100 (Example: start counting backwards at 81.  Stop at 60.”

Tell me a number greater than today’s number? Less than today’s number? (Use chart above for numbers less than 100). 

What is ten more than today’s number? Ten less than today’s number? (Use chart above for numbers less than 100).  

Count by tens to 100.
