I am the Gifted Support Teacher at Pate's Creek Elementary School! I have taught in two different states. My first five years of teaching were both in public and private schools in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am a native of Gary, Indiana, and moved to Indianapolis after graduating from Indiana University with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. In 2000, I relocated to Stockbridge, Georgia, and have been teaching in Henry County since that time. I earned my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2007 from Georgia State University, and I earned my Specialist Degree in K-8 Mathematics from the University of Georgia in the summer of 2017.

I love working with children, and I love to challenge them to reach their full potential. I sponsor an after-school Girls Book Club for second and third graders and an after-school Challenge 24 Math Club for fourth and fifth graders. I love teaching all subjects, but I especially love math and reading!! In my spare time, I like to exercise (jog and climb Stone Mountain), read, and spend time with family and friends.  In addition, I love to play games, and my absolute favorites are Scrabble and Words with Friends! I am looking forward to a very successful and exciting school year!
