    Week 7 Online PE - Coach Long

    Good morning everyone! Below you will find a list of activities for the Month of May. Your goal this week is to spend 30 -60 minutes (all at once) choosing activities from the calendar below to complete. I have also included some virtual field day activities that you can play with your family or siblings on May 8!

     Friday is National Field Day!!! Click on Field Day Games and choose any of the activities to do on any day of this week as many times as you'd like with your family or friends.

     

    Week 6 Online Learning - PE with Coach Long April 27 - May 1

     

    This week you will be playing the game pictured below. I will also include a link under the picture. If you are able to print it out, ask a parent to do that for you. If not, you can just get a piece of paper and keep track of what number each player is on that way. If you land on a box with a ladder, you get to climb up the ladder, but if you land on a snake face, you have to slide back down. Play with your family and  have fun!

    I also challenge you to spend 30 minutes each day outside playing! What can you do outside to have fun and get some exercise? This means no technology, just you and the great outdoors.

    Week 5 Online Learning - PE with Coack Long April 20 - 25

     

    Hey everyone! I'm bringing you some really fun activies created by the one and only Mike Morris! You will need a few supplies which he will give you in each of his videos. Have fun and let me know how many times you beat Coach Morris! 

     

    Directions: Coach Morris will post the directions at the beginning of the video. Pause and read them carefully, then gather your materials. He will them complete the challenge for one minute. Watch him as he does this. When he finishes, a timer will start for you to complete the challenges. See if you can beat him, but also make sure you do things correctly like he showed you. Don't just try to fly through it just to beat him. Repeat as often as you'd like. 

     

    Pillow Flipper - Grab a pillow from your bed! 

    Pillow Scooter Race - Use your pillow again and you'll need some tape if you have it

    Plank Tap Challenge - You will need 3 shoe boxes or 3 of anything if you don't have shoe boxes. You can use toys, books, whatever you have. 

    Waddle Races - You will need two laundry baskets and a sock ball. If you don't have laundry baskets, you can use boxes or bowls.

    Week 4 Online Learning - PE with Coach Long April 13 - 17

    Welcome Back! I hope you had a great Spring Break and a Happy Easter! Remember to complete your PE lesson on the day you would normally have PE. You can also complete Coach Banks' lesson on your other PE day! Since we don't really have Step Up classes right now. Have a great week! Miss you all!

    For your lesson this week, you have two activities to complete. Click on each link and follow the directions listed. The Locomotor Speedway should be done outside in your driveway or your yard, so ask for permission first. It's best to have an adult to time you! 

     

    Locomotor Speedway 

    When you finish the Locomotor Speedway, you will need to get two phone numbers for the next activity. When you open the link, you will complete the exercises shown using someone's phone number. For example, if the first number is 6, you would do six arm circles. If there is a zero in the phone number, you complete 10 of that exercise.

    Physical Activities to Complete at Home - Here are many options for your student to get active while at home. They are easy to follow and require minimal to no equipment. There's one available for each day of the week. Complete in any order you choose as often as you'd like.

    Week One - Online Learning

     

    Students in grades K -2 may use the following activities and links to complete their Physical Education activities for the week. I would typically only see your student once next week, so you could use these for a "PE" day, or complete some of them each day for extended physical activity time. I will also post a video lesson this week for students to complete if possible. 

     

    Beginning today, you can follow the schedule below for PE activities and challenges:

     

    Tuesday: Complete the PE Workout Video if it is your PE day. Choose one or two games/videos from the website to complete.

    *** Challenge – Grab an invisible jump rope and create a routine that includes at least 4 different tricks.

     

    Wednesday: Complete the PE Workout Video if it is your PE day. Choose one or two games/videos from the website to complete.

    *** Challenge – Wall Push-ups are just like push-ups but are done standing facing a wall. Do 10 sets of 10.

     

    Thursday: Complete the PE Workout Video if it is your PE day. Choose one or two games/videos from the website to complete.

    *** Challenge – Squat Stare Challenge – Squat position facing a sibling or parent. Have a staring contest. The winner picks an exercise for both to complete. No blinks or smiles.

     

    Friday: Complete the PE Workout Video if it is your PE day. Choose one or two games/videos from the website to complete.

    *** Challenge – Sock Ball Challenge – Grab three pairs of socks to make sock balls. Practice juggling the sock balls for 15 minutes.

     

    Physical Activities to Complete at Home - Here are many options for your student to get active while at home. They are easy to follow and require minimal to no equipment. There's one available for each day of the week. Complete in any order you choose as often as you'd like.
