Hendricks Spanish I & II Classes, Spring 2020, Remote Learning Information Page
Greetings to All Stakeholders,
I hope everyone is well and managing the School Closure safely and productively. I will keep this message simple and as clear as possible. During the school closure, students and teachers will continue to engage in Standards-based Learning. This is made possible by the HCS 1:1 Device Initiative and digital learning platforms such as Google Classroom and many other types of educational technology.
For my Spanish I & II classes, all Announcements and Assignments will be posted to Google Classroom in a timely fashion. Students/Parents are welcome to ask any questions in the comments section and I will reply within 24 hours of posting. There will be Tasks/Assignments assigned and submitted during the school closure. The instructions and deadlines will be clearly stated, but feel free to ask if there is any confusion.
The primary platform for Assignments during this time is: Voces Digital Learning, accessible at <vocesdigital.com>. Students have been added to the Online Classroom and can access the platform with their Class ID and User ID. All Students have been provided their Login information at least three times this semester, but if a student does not know their Class/User ID, send me an email and I will provide it again. All Voces DL Assignments are listed under the "Assignments" tab visible at the top of the Home page, there is an icon sheet of paper with a star in the center. When students click the Assignments icon, there will be a Calendar View with the assignment appearing on the Due Date. The student clicks the assignment and it will automatically navigate to the relevant page. Clicking "Save & Submit" at the end of assignments is necessary for the response to be recorded.
I will add that review and enrichment of prior learning is the main focus of assignments during this time.
I notified students in class on Friday, 3/13/20, that Announcements and Assignments will be communicated on Monday mornings and will be due on the following Sunday.
Voces Digital learning is the main platform for classwork, but students should check their Google Classroom regularly for announcements and assignment postings. There will be important information shared on GClassroom.
My email address is: jason.hendricks@henry.k12.ga.us. Please contact me at any time with questions or concerns. I am at your service.
Sincerely,
Jason Hendricks
