• National Honor Society Member Selection Process

    Membership in Locust Grove High School’s (LGHS) National Honor Society is an honor bestowed upon a student. Selection for membership is based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service. General requirements are as follows:

     Candidates must be a member of the junior or senior classes.

     Candidates must have been in attendance at LGHS for at least one full semester.

     Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 93.00 Weighted.

     Candidates must provide a minimum of four-character references.

     Candidates must give examples of involvement in leadership positions.

     Candidates must provide a list of hours and type of service performed.

    An NHS member who transfers from another school and brings a letter from the principal or chapter adviser to the SRCS adviser shall be accepted automatically as a member in this school's chapter. Transfer members must meet LGHS standards within one semester in order to retain membership.
