    Monday, October 26th: FLE can send a message that we have School Spirit (Wear FLE Spirit gear)

    • Students will be introduced to Red Ribbon and Spirit Week purpose and activities.
    • Students and faculty will wear FLE Spirit Wear
    • Facts read during morning announcements and will be placed on Google Classroom
    • Announcements made about the bookmark, essay, and video message contest.

     

    Tuesday, October 27th: Team Up for a healthy lifestyle (Wear your favorite team/sports jersey or shirt)

    • Students and faculty will wear favorite team/sports jersey or shirt.
    • Facts read during morning announcements and will be placed on Google Classroom.
    • Announcements made about the bookmark, essay, and video message contest.

     

    Wednesday, October 28th: My Future is Bright! (Wear Neon or Bright Colors)

    • Students and faculty will wear neon or bright colors.
    • Facts read during morning announcements and will be placed on Google Classroom.
    • Announcements made about the bookmark, essay, and video message contest.

     

    Thursday, October 29th: Decades Day: Living a Healthy Lifestyle Won’t Throw Us Back

    • Students and faculty wear clothes from various decades (50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s. etc.)
    • Facts read during morning announcements and will be placed on Google Classroom.
    • Announcements made about the bookmark, essay, and video message contest.

     

    Friday, October 30th: Living a Healthy Life is No Sweat (Wear sweats)

    • Students and faculty wear sweats
    • Facts read during morning announcements and will be placed on Google Classroom.
    • Announcements made about the bookmark, essay, and video message contest.

     

    DRUG FREE/HEALTHY LIFESTYLE MESSAGES ON PADLET and FLIPGRID:

    Students can create drug free healthy lifestyle messages on Padlet using the link: https://padlet.com/nwebb/bebrave.  Students and classes will also use Flipgrid (K-3 Flipgrid link:  https://flipgrid.com/fadc0385 and 4th/5th Flipgrid link: https://flipgrid.com/a17857c8) to create video messages. Be creative with your Padlet and Flipgrid video messages. These messages should be about being healthy and staying away from illegal drugs.

     

    ESSAY CONTEST:

    Use the theme of this year’s Red Ribbon/Healthy Choices Week: “Be Brave. Be Happy: Stay Drug Free” and explain in 250 words or less why being healthy and staying away from illegal drugs is important to you and how you plan to accomplish this goal. Several winners per grade level will be chosen. Prizes will be awarded on Wednesday, November 4th. Students can log into the Counseling Google Classroom (c63kdfh) for a further directions. Turn in your essays through Google Classroom. Winning essays will be featured on the FLE Counseling website.

     

    BOOKMARK CONTEST

    Students can log into the Counseling Google Classroom (c63kdfh) for a blank bookmark beginning October 26th. Students can decorate them with information about being healthy, staying away from harmful and illegal drugs, making good choices, being a good friend, having a growth mindset, etc. (see attached guidelines below). Express yourself and your ideas by using pictures, slogans, symbols, words and/or poems. They are to be turned in through Google Classroom on by Friday, October 30th. Judges will pick 1 winner per grade and winners will be announced on Wednesday, November 4th. Make sure you put your name, grade and teacher’s name on your bookmark.
