In 2008, the University of Georgia launched the Georgia College Advising Corps (GCAC), in partnership with the Watson-Brown Foundation and College Advising Corps.  The program places a college adviser in partner high schools.  This year, McDonough High School is proud and excited to be able to partner with the Georgia College Advising Corps to offer this program/service to our students.

 Ms. Cecilia Vu

Location:  MHS Counseling Office

Ms. Vu is native to Norcross, GA. She graduated from Hillgrove High School in Cobb County and attended the University of Georgia. There, she received an A.B. in International Affairs and minored in Leadership in Student Affairs. Her favorite shows include Avatar: the Last Airbender, Criminal Minds, and Law & Order. In her free time, she crochets and takes care of all the family pets including dogs, goats, chickens, and her hamster.
