• In addition to the digital content that is being provided through HMH Core Instructional Resources, the district also provides supplemental resources to support instruction.  These resources support the Aligned System of Teaching and Learning as defined in Henry’s Plan of Action.

    Approved Supplemental Digital Resources

    Illuminate (K-12) – Standards-based assessment and reporting platform that helps guide instruction for better learning outcomes.

    Accelerated Reader (K-5) – Monitoring tool to encourage the practice of reading

    Teaching Books (K-12) – Collection of original and curated literary resources for children’s and young adult’s books

    Discovery Education (K-12) – Curriculum resource that provides streaming videos, instructional strategies, and resources aligned to GA State Standards

    Virtual Job Shadow (6-12) – Interactive career exploration platform housing job shadowing videos of real people in real jobs

    OverDrive (K-12) – Online access to eBooks and audiobooks

    Google Classroom (K-12)

    The following resources are being provided with limited usage based on school needs and licenses available.

    Blackboard (Limited Usage for MS/HS) – Schools that were using Blackboard during the 2018-19 school year can continue using the Learning Management System to facilitate student learning.

    Odysseyware (Limited Usage K-12) – Schools that were using Odysseyware during the 2018-19 school year can continue use for credit recovery, NWEA-MAP Integration (Prescriptive Learning Paths), and course management. New licenses are not available for the current school year. *Please note we no longer have dedicated customer support with Dana Fountain.  Schools can contact their ITS for support.  Questions regarding approved usage can be forwarded to Tracina Wyatt (twyatt@henry.k12.ga.us)

    NearPod (Downgrade from District to Silver License) – District-wide license will now be at the Silver Level which limits the Premium Content and Features.  Schools have the option to purchase a School Site License which will give access to premium content and features.  Purchases must be made by August 30 to receive a special discounted rate.

    Learner Profile - Learner Profile can continue to be used for Goal Setting.  Other features of the Learner Profile will be disabled including learning style survey, storage of artifacts, reports, etc.

     

    As stated in the student handbook, the district may consent to the use of online platforms/apps in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).  The sites are listed on the Henry County webpage as approved for students K-12.  Please review the list of Digital Resource Request Approvals
