•  Mrs. Sorrows

My name is Emily Sorrows, and I am so thrilled to be apart of the NHE family! I started teaching in 2017 after I graduated from Kansas State Univeristy. Now, I know what you are thinking. You are probably wondering how I ended up here if I graduated from Kansas State. So, lets back track a little. I grew up in Locust Grove, and actually graduated from LGHS in 2012. After graduation, I attended Gordon State College and recieved my Associates Degree while playing on a softball scholarship. In 2013, I married my high school sweet heart, Blake, during my sophomore year at GSC. Due to my husband being in the military, we moved to Fort Riley, Kansas in the summer of 2014. We lived there for 3 years and absolutely loved it! Within those 3 years we started our family in 2015 when our daughter Rylee was born, and I finished my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Kansas State in 2017. We were happy to move back to our little home town few years ago to be close to family again. Below are a few more fun facts about me!
