My name is Coach Jones. I am a graduate of the University of West Georgia. This is my fourth year teaching. I started my career as a paraprofessional at Haven Academy in Mableton, Georgia. After spending time and gaining a wonderful experience at Haven Academy I was able to begin my journey at North Douglas Elementary in Douglasville, Georgia. After having an opportunity at North Douglas Elementary, I was able to relocate and start a new chapter, now at Luella Elementary. It has been a privilege and honor to work with each and every student at Luella Elementary. I am truly blessed and I appreciate each and every student. My mother is a teacher at Lindley Middle school in Cobb County so she has always been one of my role models and as I watched my mother growing up as a child. It allowed me to follow in her footsteps. My father is retired military so everything that is instilled in me, from both my mother and my father I try to do my best to set forth the best example because of what they were able to instill in me as I grew up.
I will continue to say this, that education has always been a top priority in my life and I have been able to make encounters with many students where I can get an opportunity to make a difference in their lives. I strongly and truly believe that children are our future.
As a Health and Physical Education teacher, it is my duty and responsibility that students can participate in physical activity daily, able to comprehend as well as exhibit movement concepts, principles, and strategies while participating in activities, value personal activity and self-respect as respect for others, achieve and maintain a level of fitness, demonstrate motor skills in various activities, and most of all to be able to promote a life-long appreciation for physical activity inside of school and outside of school.
