Originally from Hopkinton, Massachusetts, I have served in Henry County Schools since 2002. Prior to coming to Henry County, I worked in Clayton County as a special education teacher and as an English teacher at Forest Park High School. In
2002, I transferred to Henry County High where I spent the next seven years of my career. While there, I served as an English teacher and as the 9th Grade Coordinator before becoming the Instructional Lead Teacher in 2006-2007. My
last two years at HCHS were as an assistant principal. I was part of the inaugural staff of Locust Grove High in 2009, and I’ve been happy to call it home ever since.
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia with a BA in English Literature, and I earned both my administrative credentials and Master’s Degree at Georgia State University. Currently, I am at Mercer University completing my doctoral dissertation.
Mine is a family of educators, and I am committed to facilitating high levels of learning for all students. 2014 – 2015 marks my eighteenth year in education, and I am eagerly anticipating another successful year at Locust Grove High School. I continue to enjoy working with the faculty and staff to serve the Locust Grove community. The growth of this school amazes and delights me!
