As so many school districts around the country consider how to appropriately respond to the recent tragic events, we know in Henry County we are better when we come together. The Community Conversation on School Safety and Security has been designed to bring together the many different perspectives and voices of our county so that we can all take a role in ensuring that our schools and communities are safe. The Community Conversation will provide insight into the current safety practices and security measures in place in Henry County Schools and an opportunity for small group discussions on how we continue to get better. It is also important that we share ways that teachers, school leaders, coaches, counselors, and families can best talk to children about recent events. Below are links to some of the resources that might be helpful.
Following the Community Conversation, the leadership team of Henry County Schools will process all of the ideas and recommendations that are generated by the many participants in order to address ways in which we can continue to improve. Thank you for joining us in this important Community Conversation.
