I am in the process of administering the pretest for the Fitnessgram assessment for students in grades 2-5. I administer this test every 9 week grading period. On your child's report card under the performance standard 4 "Achieves and maintains a health-enhancing level of physical fitness" are your child's results as they relate to meeting this standard. If your child receives a "3" or "S" it means they are in The Healthy Fitness Zone for all components of the fitness test. A "2" or "N" means they are not in the healthy fitness zone for at least 1 component of the test yet but they are progressing towards The Healthy Fitness Zone. If your student shows little to no improvement on the fitness test they will receive a "1" or "U" for the following grading period. Please help your child be physically active 1 hour each day. This is the best way to make a positive influence on your child's overall health and wellness.
