In our class, it is all about positive reinforcement and lots of love! There is a traffic light in our classroom with clothespins on it. All students have their names on a clothespin. Each day every student begins on the green light which means "good behavior." If a student is misbehaving, he/she will be given a verbal warning. If the behavior continues, the student's name will be moved to the "official warning" part of the light. Basically, everyone gets two chances before their name gets moved to the yellow light which means "needs improvement." If the behavior continues after that, the student's name will be moved to the red light which means "bad behavior." The specific behavior(s) will be detailed in your child's daily folder and/or Mrs. Burley will be calling to talk to a parent about the behavior. We are happy to report that most students receive green lights every day!
