Tonya Mason

I love teaching at Impact Academy!  I love watching students grow into confident, independent scholars.  I love the close relationships I can form with students, parents and collegues.  I also love being mom to William - age 17, a senior at Impact Academy - and to his service dog - Cai von Highlander and to our old lab - Belle Mason.  I have been married to my husband, Ben, for over 25 years.  I have lived in McDonough for over 40 years.  I attended Georgia Tech and graduated in 1991 with a degree in Operations and Production Management.  After a decade as a process engineer, project manager and consultant, I decided to pursue teaching as I had always wanted to do.  I received certification from State University of West Georgia in 2003 and have been teaching ever since.  I haven't regretted a moment of it!
