I’ve had the pleasure of serving the Eagle’s Landing community for over three years.  I am entering my fourth year as one of the proud assistant principals of Eagle’s Landing High.  In total, I have spent fourteen years in education, and it has been a remarkable journey with no regrets. Throughout my years in education, I have held three essential truths that have guided my thinking and actions.

First, I believe that all students can learn.  They may not learn at the same rate or the same time, but that is what makes our district and the ELHS community so great. We DON'T give up on each other. Therefore, it is my calling as an educator to train, inspire, and engage all of our students to be better and to become better people, not just for themselves but also for their families and ultimately, our global society.  You have my committment that I will not give up on any student that attends ELHS.

Second, I believe that developing interpersonal skills are paramount in forging a safe and warm environment for students to flourish.  President Theodore Roosevelt stated, “People do not care how much you know until they know how much your care.”  I have found this statement to be true and work each day to build a positive relationship with the students, parents, and staff members I serve.  I am committed to ensuring your child has a meaningful experience each day he/she enters ELHS.

Lastly, I believe, as an educator, I must be consistent as a role model and continue to challenge and hold our students accountable for high expectations - high expectations for ALL students knowing that they are capable of greatness. You have my committment that I will be a positive and consistent role model for your child.

My goal each day is to work to the best of my ability to provide students with the best educational experience.  Each student is worth it, and each student deserves the very best that Henry County Schools and Eagle’s Landing High have to offer. My vision for all learners as they leave Eagle’s Landing High and pursue their dream is patterned after educator Clint Smith’s philosophy, “That they will Read Critically, Write Consciously, Speak Clearly, and Tell Their Truth.”

I look forward to partnering with each of you, and if I can be of any service, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
