• Mr. Faamata Fonoimoana
My name is Faamata Fonoimoana.  This is my eighth year at Woodland High School.  It is my joy and priviledge to serve at Woodland as an administrator this year.   I am the administrator over Discipline for students with last names that start with the letters H thru O and I also work with our faculty who are a part of the Exceptional Student Education department.
Furman University - BA in Communications
Valdosta State University - MAT in Special Education General Curriculum
Georgia College and State University - Med in Educational Leadership
I had the privilege of meeting my wife of 15 years while attending college at Furman University.  Go Paladins!  We have 4 children.  Our boys are Lofa - 12, Ali - 10, and Malosi - 8.  Our wonderful daughter, Lesina is 5.
Many students ask me about the origin of my name - actually, my full name is Fa'amata Aloalo Fonoimoana, Jr.  It is of Samoan descent, which is polynesian.  Many of you are familiar with other polynesian cultures such as Hawaiians, Tongans, and Fijians.  It is one of the richest and most respected cultures in the world.  The Disney movie, "Moana", was based upon many of the cultures throughout polynesia including the Samoan culture.
