Mrs. Stacy Salter

I have aspired to be a teacher my entire life.  It just took me some time to get here.  I am proof that it is never too late to chase your dreams and that at any age and under any circumstances, it is possible.  I strongly believe, as Plato does, that as teachers, that we should not "train a child to learn by force or harshness; but we are to direct it to them by what amuses their minds, so that we may be able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each".  I have a genuine love of learning myself and hope to provide students with that same level of excitement and enthusiasm.  I am thankful and grateful to the parents and community who have entrusted their children to me during this school year.  I am committed to helping students find that genius within.  

I am remarried the love of my life.  I have four children, two of my own, and two twin stepsons.  I was a licensed customs broker for 27 years before getting to do what I love to do as a career - TEACH!!  How awesome is that!!  We have two spoiled American Staffordshire Terriers, Chance and Halo, and we are now the parents of our grandpup, a black Shephard, Layla. They are treated like our children!!
