Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Kristen Hall

Hi there!  My name is Kristen Hall, and I am proud to have been a part of the Rock Spring family since our school opened in 2008.  Over my 16 years in education, I have taught Pre-Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, Special Education, and EIP.  I now serve as RSE's Student Support Facilitator (SSF).  I became a teacher because I love working with children and I love learning - both learning new things myself and helping others learn.  It brings me joy to see children become interested in and learn about new things, especially through reading.  Reading is my passion.  I believe you can "learn anything" and "go anywhere" through reading.  I myself am a lifelong reader - reading every night (and sometimes staying up much too late with a good book!) is part of my daily routine.  I hope that all my students will find an appreciation of and a love for reading and become lifelong readers themselves.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Winthrop University, my Master's Degree in Reading, Language, and Literacy Education from Georgia State University, and my Specialist's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama.  I think I am done getting college degrees, but you never know!!!

In my time outside of school, I enjoy reading (especially mystery novels), spending time with my pets (3 spoiled dogs & 1 fat cat), going on cruises, and floating (and reading!) in my pool!
