    Let me start off by saying that I'm super excited to be working with you for the upcoming school year!  Even though this is my fifth year at Luella, this is my sixth year as an educator. Before joining the Luella family, I was in Gwinnett County at Mill Creek High School. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in English Education.  I am currently working towards earning my Master's degree in English Education with a concentration in African American Literature from Georgia State University. My philosophy on education is that it is a partnership. As long as you are working as hard as you possibly can in my class, I am going to make sure that I do everything I can to ensure your success. This partnership only works if you do. As Aristotle said, "we are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." If you want to be excellent not only in your studies, but in life, then you must put in the effort that is required in order to be excellent.
